During the months of July, August and September it is possible to witness the Humpback Whales as they arrive after their incredibly long migration from Antarctica.

The Whales come to the warm waters of Panama during this time to have their calfs and mate before once again making the return journey all the way back to Antarctica where they feed in the icy waters until the Antarctic sea begins to freeze over again and they return to us here in Panama.

At The Other Panama during these months we offer the chance to go out and see these incredible beings as they swim past our boats singing and sometimes even breaching, an unforgettable experience.

This can be done on a day trip, or on an overnight trip where you will spend the night on beautiful island in camping like accommodation.
